The blow-molded seat is designed to hold the user in a rising from seat position for ease of use and stability. Holes in the molded seat are also designed to reduce slippage. Shower chair works well for my mother and her needs. Makes bathing her now less of a chore. Fits neatly in the bathtub and was/is easy to adjust to her height. Very lightweight.
